An avid book reader with a particular interest in biographies, Wendy aspires to be a full-time teacher aide. She received excellent ratings in her assessments which boosted her self-esteem and confidence levels.

Inspired by his daughter and an ambition to give back to the community, Gary took on a career change after twenty-five years in the security industry. He enrolled into the Certificate III in Home and Community Care & Certificate in III Aged Care course with Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services in February 2014.
Five participants from the Basic Cooking and Life Skills program cooked up a storm and served patrons at Djerri’ Cafe @ Djerriwarrh on 17 June 2014. The team baked, cooked and prepared sumptuous meals as part of their learning experience in the program.
A picture paints a thousand words. Students from the Certificate III Children’s Services program were all smiles while pursuing their studies at Djerriwarrh @ Sunbury. The program commenced in February 2014 and has seen its students move forward with casual job placements at local childcare centres.

22 May 2014, at the Melbourne Town Hall, Vor shined as she was awarded the NMIT Outstanding Apprentice/Trainee of the Year award within the Faculty of Arts and Social Science. Vor is the first student in the Health Department of NMIT to be awarded this prestigious title. Congratulations Vor and we wish you all the best in your journey!

Young drivers across Melton and Moorabool are being given a helping hand by dedicated volunteers thanks to the area’s successful L2P program. This month the program celebrated its 60th licence – more than any other program in Melbourne’s West.
