Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services (Djerriwarrh) is a highly regarded not-for-profit charitable organisation which has been delivering high quality education, training, employment and youth programs in the western suburbs of Melbourne since 1989.  Djerriwarrh’s Mission Statement is ‘empowering individuals and local communities to learn, connect and grow’.  Djerriwarrh has an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture.

The Community House Coordinator will liaise closely with Learn Locals, Neighbourhood House providers and community organisations in Melton, along with DFFH, DET, Centrelink, local government, community members, employers/businesses, schools and local community networks to identify community development needs.

The Community House Coordinator is responsible for strategic planning, program development, volunteer management and day to day operations of the Community House activities.  The Community House Coordinator is responsible for Neighbourhood House direction and policies and complying with the service agreement.

This position also oversees the L2P (Learner Driver) Program.

Qualifications in Community Development or similar discipline plus a 2 years’ relevant experience preferable.
