Learn practical skills for work and training with English language support in our SLPET course.

SLPET – Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training – is a part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) funded by the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

SLEPT includes two weeks of work experience in an Australian workplace.

  • Resume writing
  • Job interview skills
  • Occupational health and safety

SLPET may also include:

  • Free childcare subject to COVID restrictions

Students can try out a job they are interested in during the work placement and teachers and workplace supervisors can be approached to be referees.

SLEPT runs for 10 weeks and students must be available 5 days a week.
