Jaime, Kim and Louise had never met before studying aged care together, and now they are all working at a local aged care facility in Gisborne. Jamie, Kim and Louise all completed the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) in 2020 and found work in aged care at the end of their work placements.
Djerriwarrh’s Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is a popular course thanks to its proven pathway to employment. Although Jamie, Kim and Louise did not know each other before doing this course, they have all taken a similar journey to get where they are today.
Jamie, Kim and Louise all spoke about their individual caring natures when we sat down with them for a chat. This caring nature was a driving force behind pursuing a career in the aged care sector. With help from their teacher, Stanley, they have been able to accumulate the skills needed to successfully join the workforce. All three of them wanted to thank their teacher, Stanley, for his patience and dedication to teaching.
It is always a challenge to balance study with family life, and Jamie, Kim and Louise all appreciated that the classes were run between 9.30am and 3.00pm. This allowed them to study while their children were at school.
Djerriwarrh runs the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) regularly and our next course begins on April 19th. If you are interested in this course, please contact us soon. Positions are filling quickly!
