Board Member – Expressions of Interest
Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services (Djerriwarrh) is a highly regarded not for profit charitable organisation which has been delivering high quality education, training, employment and youth programs in the western suburbs of Melbourne since 1989. Djerriwarrh’s Mission Statement is ‘empowering individuals and local communities to learn, connect and grow’. Djerriwarrh works in partnership with the community, other community based organisations, participants/clients and local, state and federal governments.
Djerriwarrh also delivers on its mission and vision with an Independent Senior Secondary Specialist Assistance School, Djerriwarrh Community College, based in Melton.
The Board and School Council are seeking new Board members and School Council members respectively who have a personal commitment to the organisation’s mission and the ability to work at a strategic level. The Board and School Council welcomes applications from people that:
- Have experience in adult and/or school education, youth services or employment services; or
- Have a background in law and/or accounting.
The Djerriwarrh Board and Djerriwarrh Community College School Council strongly encourages expressions of interest from Aboriginal peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, young people and people with a disability.
Board and School Council positions are honorary and will commence in early 2025.
