Course Information

In this traineeship you will combine on the job training with an aged care employer and classroom training with Djerriwarrh. The traineeship is free for eligible participants* and you may be offered ongoing work with the host employer at the completion of the program.

You will be introduced to all aspects of a carers’ role including personal care, well being and assistance with daily activities. On successful completion of the traineeship you will achieve the CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and disability).

Career Pathway

This traineeship may lead to paid work in a residential aged care facility or with an In Home Care provider.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements however applicants must undertake a pretraining review to determine if the program is suitable and appropriate for them.

The traineeship is open to people from all walks of life. We encourage you to apply if English is not your first language, if you have a disability, if you are indigenous and whatever your age, gender or sexuality. We also encourage you to apply if you are completely new to this industry.
