Skills First is the Victorian Government’s investment in Victoria’s training system. Skills First subsidises training costs for eligible Victorians to complete accredited training. Students at Djerriwarrh can receive Skills First funding if eligible.

Skills First focuses on protecting the needs of students to ensure the training they receive is high quality and work-relevant, and maximises their employment prospects.
Djerriwarrh has been a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 1996 and first received funding for accredited training students under the Skilling Victoria contract in 2011.
Since 2017 eligible students have been able to access Skills First funding to subsidise the cost of their course fees.
